VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

SCORE is a national organization of community minded local business men and women willing to volunteer their time helping entrepreneurs and business people. We are looking for retired executives, small business owners, educators, and other professionals to serve as mentors to a wide range of small to medium sized business clients. Our mentors are computer literate and work with local clients in person and/or nationally over the internet. Mentoring assistance ranges from guiding clients in new business start-ups to working with clients to improve performance of their existing business. If you want to share your business expertise, give back to your community and connect with like-minded people, consider volunteering with SCORE.

The Manasota Chapter of SCORE is also looking for volunteer specialists in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Administrative Assistance and other business functions. These volunteers will work with our mentors and clients to contribute their specific expert professional knowledge, or participate in our workshops as experts or presenters.

SCORE mentoring is confidential and free of charge to our clients.

New mentors and specialists are assigned sponsors and are trained in the SCORE mentoring process, available educational resources for clients, and Chapter operations and requirements.

We prefer year round residents of Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, Northport or Englewood who are willing to spend 5-10 hours per month helping clients and supporting our Chapter efforts.
